Description I finally got someone else hooked on Vagabond. I showed a couple of pages from it. Cleverly chose ones of sexy guys half naked with swords. It worked

So i decided to do a little something of my favourite character from the manga. Kojiro. Stupid mumbling lovable deaf idiot.

Update: Shined it up a bit and made the the background not so intense blue.

I love it *___* The character looks like a really cool guy And the visible brushstrokes and so forth are quite appealing. It gives the viewer the impression that you're really talented in whatever program you're working with Which program did you use?

I've heard of that manga but never read. Perhaps I should. C:

I use Photoshop. But since I'm more of a traditional paint person I never got the hang of loads of layers, so I tend to use just one or two. I'm a bit strange that way :3

Vagabond is a good manga. It is beautifully drawn, has interesting characters and is surprisingly easy to follow.

Doesn't use one he is that awesome. He is completely deaf anyway, so it wouldn't make a difference, even if they had them back in the old samurai days :3

Well, even today - according to someone I know who is studying to be an audiologist and also wears hearing aids - it is impossible to be "completely" deaf.
