Thanks! And to answer your question: early on in a digital painting, I need to fix proportions using the 'select' and 'transform' tool in photoshop. If you move selections around, you leave behind slivers of color. So the cuts that you see in the final piece were leftovers from the very, very beginning of the painting process that I was too lazy to remove via blending. No extra meaning, but I liked the aesthetic appeal.
