Surprise!

This is my last official contribution to the Deviant Universe group: the Deviant Universe Legacy challenge

The group has been around for 12 years and is coming to an end, and since the last challenge is a homage to its entire history I wanted to give it a good send-off.

The Deviant Universe version of Cross and his stories were a major part of my development as an artist, but this new art shows I'm still improving!

What has he been up to since his last appearance in Deviant Universe?

I had actually pencilled in a reason he wasn't showing up on-screen anymore: like some of his other counterparts across the multiverse, he ended up becoming the head of Project Avalon. The purpose of this project is to relocate people who could be effected by the Genocide Wave off-universe, in order to save them from being taken. After gaining some connection to Limbo, he adapted to it, gaining a sense of people who would end up there. This would mean he travels the known universe (with the the help of some old friends) and isn't on Earth enough these days.

One day this mission will no longer be needed, after all, we've seen glimpses of his future, and who knows if in the vast multiverse... he'll show up elsewhere!
