The final boss or Kirby's Adventure, Nightmare aims to spread bad dreams all across Dream Land by infecting the Fountain of Dreams. King Dedede was able to seal him away in the Star Rod and dismantle it, but when Kirby restores it, Nightmare is revived, and Kirby battles him to defeat him once and for all. In Kirby: Right Back At Ya, Nightmare is the president of Nightmare Enterprises, and creates the monsters that King Dedede buys to use against Kirby.
Nightmare appears in the Super Smash Bros. series as an Assist Trophy, covering the stage in darkness so players can't see.
