Description This is the final part to challenge 2.
Woodwind is sent to Grandesque to retrieve a new tail tassle for Twistoult's Queen. Friends and an adult group up to enter the city..
-------------------------
As it was a massive place for markets, shops and many numbers of gryphons to be settled in a cave environment, the group of Twistoults painstakingly stayed close to one another. Course, it wasn't easy to stray away from each other; if one got distracted by something attractive, the rest followed suit to investigate with grins, loud noises, and speedy feet. Look at that, NO LOOKITTHAR. You guys there's human candies here! But we have to go look at that shiny shop. but its too crowded, lets go over here.

Ava was a stalwart watcher, and was able to easily keep up with the gryphons, but soon enough the corralling was getting quickly tiresome. She coughed stoutly, and the youth heads all snapped their attention to her. Ava did a slow blink, perhaps pleased with herself or something tickled her mind, she reached her talons into the neck fluff to reveal a small bag on a loop. Pulling it off and brandishing it to the children, she warned them, "There should only be enough for Tulkinna's tassel and a bobble, if you wish, for the each of you. However I believe the Queen would be pleased if you sacrificed your share to honor her or your favored god. Be sure to get back in a short bit. No longer than a step of the sun.

Each nodded and giddily accepted their tidbits, and nominated woodwind to swiftly retrieve the tassel, as they knew anything worthwhile to get in that decorative shop would be far too expensive for any of them to buy with their share. With a grunt, Woodwind hustled off to the claustrophobic shop where the merchant was a great beast of tiger and kite, that easily took up half the shop space. Woodwind swallowed, nodded and was glad the owner was particularly busy with a customer. The merchant acknowledged her with a lowly look, nodded and shifted back into the conversation. Woodwind was sure to make the bag identifiable and easy to see to avoid being questioned and redirected. The youth looked with acute interest in everything, first looking for her goal target, then slowly realizing that everything was in reach, small, and worth -something-.

The two older gryphs where in a heavy discussion about metal and the brewing tensions between Skekrill and Grandsque, and feared they may have to check their stocks and profits for trading the business from decorated pieces to functional pieces of armory and weaponry. The talk was heavy and stern, automatically issuing woodwind that if she were to interrupt, they wouldn't be all to polite.

She was going to turn and see if the merchant was watching her, but instead that would only perk suspicion. She swallowed hard and kept looking, til she found a box that had materials suited for the Queen. She shuffled, and found a delicate, smallish kind of tassel, inlaid with a bead every other row. Perhaps this will honor her well. And next to it, was a box of leather cuffs. Usually they weren't seen as they were cumbersome in comparison to jewelry or wraps. But, she eyed a very simple and boringly decorated one and decided she must have it. She flicked the tassel to her beak for display, and shoved the bracelet into the nook of her wing. In a swift movement, she used the same pair of talons to reach for the bag to declare she found what she wanted and ready to purchase.

Woodwind walked out lightly, trying not to fumble her prizes, and greeted the others with enthusiasm. The few that gathered were enjoying their small pieces, or chose to save their part and decided to play and talk instead. It was aware to her that if she walked around with the anklet now or too soon, she'd be caught. She'll have to wait a while to enjoy her reward.
--------------------
Sorry a bit much for reading, but I was so in the mood to write.

Had more difficulty trying to figure out how to display it. Do I want woodwind's theft to be disguised and not easily seen, or do I just point it out to the world? I mostly spazzed with the focus. Have fun looking at everything.

The other gryphons in the scene are not owned by anyone, but if you're curious the big tiger one is a strawberrytiger/brahminy kite, the other is Eurasian griffin vulture/Spinx.

But, its hard to stop when the world keeps spinning. Its like trying to stop on a moving treadmill. things will be funny for a few seconds, then you watch happen again and it'll be funny again! Then I'll curse the treadmill and all its relatives. Then other people will try to use those treadmills and they will too also fall down and make more people laugh. and this is why i can't stop laughing...drawing. I can't stop drawing.

The sketchiness is appealing, but I could see that. Besides, a good artist always wants to improve. This one has crisper detail than your first Windsonde challenges, and I think the way you did the feathers here is my favorite. I look forward to seeing what Woodwind does next!

I used Fur and Feathers by Rachel Rubin Wolf. Its a really nice book for looking at for general technique. x3

And thanks, I didn't realize I've improved in such a short time!

Woodwind, will be trouble yes.
