Aaaand a new yokai. This time it's Ubume.Ubume-san died during pregnancy/childbirth/before she could take care of her children. There we go with the sexism. You're a woman, you're supposed to make children, take care of them and die. That's not very cute, if you ask me. Poor Ubume-san has to spook around and even after death watch over the children, buy them sweets with false coins or attract people's attention to them. What a crap life. Nothing against children, but hey - it's not like we, the womankind, force our male counterparts to go in deep forests, hut for animals and bring back food, so WTF.
(sorry for the rants. I just really feel for them)

Yes, poor Ubume. I wanted to draw the kanji for Nothingness on her belly, but it wouldn't look good. So I kept it simple.

Yeah, that is. Imagine, to live your whole life like a slave for some stupid husband, tending to a bunch of screaming children, only to die because of something absolutely NOT your fault and winding up dead, doing exactly the same you used to. More or less. That's just... urrrghhhh...
