This is just searingly cold. For me it's not too often that a photograph can actually transport me to another place, and in this case send a shiver down my back. I'm moved. That's what good art is all about. Thank you.

No, I dont think so. Maybe a bit sharpness of the ships... but I know that's pritty impossible because the rain drops make it anyway blury.
Which ISO-Number did you use?

i don't remember...probably 400 or 800...the ship wasn't sharp because the f# is 1.8

They may not be as impressive as this one, but I my-humble-self have some fog photos that I tried to catch that creepy "foggy" feeling...
This one is great...
Did you take other photos that morning? I wonder how different results different f values yielded... It may be just careless me, but I remember as if it didn't change much.

Just as I thought... According to the amount of fog DOF doesn't change or change little compared to a clear day. In my case, it changed nearly nothing at all.
