Back story: (Copied and pasted with few edits)

  This is a young adult skywolf named Jewel. When she was just about 3 years old (human years) her sister and mother fell off of the edge of a cloud! her sister named Angel for her pure white coat and wings is blind and fell off the cloud! Her mother, sky, had a broken wing at the time because of a stunt she was trying to pull off. She heard Angel's screams of terror as she fell dozens of feet to the ground! Her motherly instinct took over and she jumped to save her (not yet able to fly) pup, forgetting about her wing! They fell to the ground and lived. Jewel, still up on the cloud, didn't know this sobbed for her family.

  Jewel learned how to fly after 3 years which makes year 4 years old. Her teacher for flight was her father, Gazza. When she got to the ground she was searching for her family in case they some-how made it. She still searches to this day for her mother and sister. Skywolves almost never go to the ground. they hunt birds for food and live in cloud dens. and they stay on the same cloud until they can fly. there normal age for flight is about 6 years which makes Jewel the youngest skywolf to have her first flight ever.

   Jewel and her pack/family are a rare species of skywolf. They are born looking like most skywolves but when they grow to the age of 5 or 6 a gem or jewel will grow on their heads and/or faces (On rare occasions gems will grow on their backs). There is only 4 packs of these rare wolves; Pack of the Diamond Wings, Crystal Clouds Pack, The Flying Emeralds pack, and Pack of the Gem Eyes. Jewel is from the Crystal Clouds Pack. When she reached the ground she found a very small pack of about 6 wolves and Asked the alpha to join. At first he seemed questionable towards her then his mate made him let her join. The pack she now abides is the Tyto pack... To this day she lives with them and every other year she will search the woods around where her mother and sister had fell, she is determined to find them.

Skywolves Have semi-retractable claws on their front paws, this allows them to grip the clouds better so they can walk around. Their Claws are the same color as their gems. Their gems have a special ability (more about these gems: (link coming soon)). The gems and claws glow when their ability is in use. And that is really all I can think of for jewel and her species.
