To be honest, this was starting to freak me out after looking at it for a few weeks, so I decided to sumbit it.I'm pretty aware of most of the problems with it, but I'd like to see what other people have to say.
It was mainly done in psp9. Since I'm not really familiar with photoshop and couldn't get the desired effects I wanted, I emulated (or tried) some brushes I had for ps, in psp. (Mainly the scar and sores on the right hand side of the face) The rest of the effects I will explain if you have comments or questions regarding them.
This is not by any means meant to look like a real human of course, since there are no such things as zombies. (Or are there?) However it is modeled after one, an exceptionally beautiful one at that. You can find the stock photo I used Here

Ooh, An undead subject, very interesting.
The protrayal of the subject's 'undeaditcity' is quite well done. Even without the darkness, the decay of the skin is quite realistic in the sense that you can feel it wearing away over time (I don't think bodies peel when they die, but hey, lets not go into that)
The eyes are very dark, the contrast between the iris and ball are so vast that it almost appears to be the work of darkness to create the impression of eyes, the worm crawling into the socket is a sure sign of this.
While the blood injuries and bullet hole further emphisise the undeadness, I feel as if parts of the injuries aren't realistic per se. Such as the torse stitches not creating a pull effect on the skin it's pulling inwards to, and the bullet rendered as if it didn't sink into the skull very far.
Despite this, I thought the rendering of the cheek wounds to be realistic, better portayed by the different visible depths and showing the rough underneath of the blood underneath the skin.
Overall, This piece is very dark and dismal. The stare of the subject is similar to some kind of silent hex incantation or something

This is really creepy freaky!
It reminds me of the movie "exorcist" somehow!!!
Even if you arenΒ΄t that good with ps it really looks good!
There are only two things, IΒ΄m really scared to hell of in my life:

and people that are possessed!!!
And she looks like she would be possessed!

ok enough butt kissin i hope you have learned to take criticism in your old age, so heres what i say. you should try to darken the red a bit its too bright that would help give it a dirty look. those eyes are the best part makes you feel its looking into your soul. overall not bad it does convey the creeps.

I think theres a lot more that could be done to this picture and I probably will try to work on it even more sometime in the future....once I learn how to apply new techniques and all that stuff. As far as constructive criticism, I'm all for it, it'll only helps you get better right?
