Definately a great shot. Ice is particularly hard to shoot and for that you get a lot of credit. The icicles almost have a black stroke about them, and that subtle shallow depth of feild helps keep you locked in.

my teachers say i'm good with depth of field. but i don't so. these icicles where amongst the hardest things i've shot, shich is why some of them just fade away into the snow. it's difficult finding the darkest spot in them and making it show at a distance. i'm glad you like it, though.

this is an excellent shot, probably due to the contrast of the black branches to the white background, with glassy hues thrown in from the ice. looks good.
