Description
Here is a creature design collaboration I did. I was art directed throughout and stayed close to the vision of the art director. The initial pencil sketch started the process. He liked the head but was not too sure about the body.(I personally liked it.)
So I did a quick body revamp. with some crest redesigns.
Next I investigated some more body shapes and more interesting crests.
From there it was a process of mix and matching parts to get it just right.
Then came coloration and markings.
It was a fun collaboration working back and forth
