Description
As promised, the second of my back-to-back Avengers bonanza is none other than Hank Pym's wife herself, the Wasp! While she isn't really a character that I've come to love, her character in the EMH cartoon show has given her a major boost, especially after all she's been through in the comics lately, and that has motivated me enough to make a piece on one of the founding members of the Avengers.

I like how I was able to do her short hairstyle (inspired by her look in EMH of course), and it's a good stepping stone for me to keep practicing different hairstyles for females to keep getting better on them. The facial expression for me is the crowning jewel of the piece, and I love how I was able to bring out that happy-go-lucky side of Janet with her blue eyes and million dollar smile, and her body pose adds to that factor even more.

The costume was something I had to think about carefully since Janet has a plethora of different costumes over the years. I ended up with her latest outfit which she wore during Secret Invasion because I love how sleek and elegant it looks, and the addition of the gold on her costume really brings out the needed awesome factor to the outfit. Her wings were something I had to work on thoroughly too, and I added enough details and brush strokes to make them look like they're flapping and holding Janet up in the air.

I'm glad I was able to do justice on Wasp with this piece, and I'm sure she'll go well along with my recently added Ant-Man. A lot has happened over the years for the Wasp, but we can't ever forget she was one of the first five members of the team, and that by itself means Janet here deserves all the respect she can get.
