These mythical creatures are called Enfields, a creature made out of part of foxes and raptor. The combination of these two amazing hunters allows the Enfield ease of movement and precise ability.

These creatures were often seen on Irish coat of arms; they were a terrible sight, striking fear into the foes of the armies. Interesting, both Enfields with wings and without wings have been found on coats of arms.

There is a legend about the Enfields. It is said that these beasts would appear and protect the bodies of the dead. The Enfields would prevent the corpse from being desecrated from both hungry vultures and malicious men so the corpse could be buried respectfully.
