Jan has the qualities that Violet (and myself) wish to have such as being more confident, outgoing, and has a bit of sassy-ness that Violet keeps under wraps. Personality wise, she's friendly, strong willed, caring, funny, stubborn, and even a flirt around those she likes. She doesn't flirt with just anyone out of fear that she'll hurt someone's feelings. However, being more outgoing and open can be a bad thing,as it can also get her into trouble as she has a smart mouth. She's extremely sarcastic at times and saying certain things that Violet wouldn't say is what gets her in the most trouble. Jan has other issues as well. She suffered from depression and is actually highly sensitive and emotional if she's at a low point. She isolates herself because she doesn't want others to see her "weak" but she really just needs to be around people that she trust. She masks this by smiling as much as she can and being around friends. Essentially, Violet and Jan are the same person but Jan is the "extroverted side" and Violet the "introverted side". I use Jan more now because she fits me more and has some of the qualities I want. XD
