Oh, I've tried many times to get the bg to be transparent like that and it never works for me. :/
This looks really good btw. Love the textures. ^u^

lol! Know it all people can come in handy. 'u'
I dunno where to find tutorials for this sort of thing, I just asked around, I did get some info, though not very specific. I'm the kind of dope that doesn't get it unless I get some good details.
If the file size is too big and that's what's causing my bg to become black, then how small should I make it?
I always save my pics as png's if I'm gonna post them here so that shouldn't be a problem.
I would appreciate some info. ;u;

Well I actually doubt its the file size. If viewed in full-view it should work unless it's like a dA ID. Then you might consider constricting your size to what is it, 400 pixels max width? I forget.
I know there are a lot of PhotoShop tutorials out there for transparency, but I dunno if that's what you use. Look for tutorials how people do transparency or rounded edges on banners/pictures in general, that's basically how I learned. xD It's relatively simple. You just gotta make sure you have your final image the way you want to. Do transparency LAST and always save your full image without the transparency in case you mess up or wanna crop it differently in the future. Like mine, Covert Impetus was a square once. The next step would be to make a copy of the whole picture. I would just do a Select > All then an Edit > Copy Merged so the copy you get merges all the layers and you get what you see and paste that on a new document with a TRANSPARENT background. Or else remember to delete that background layer if you have one and more often then not, you will have to unlock that layer by double clicking. Or like I said, paste it on a transparent background. Once you have that, begin learning how to mess around with transparency.
That's basically the general idea of it. xD Transparency might not be working because when you delete a part, maybe its because you have another layer such as a background layer you also need to delete in the same way in the same area. That is why I recommend doing a new merged copy.
I'll be happy to explain further if you need me to or to help you find a tutorial if you can't.
