Well, I use Krazy Glue right now, I wouldn't use any of the gel kinds since those will end up showing a bit much.

I think that is what I use, cause it does show up.I think I've had to use it a few times cause we couldnt get her foot to fit correctly where it was originally sitting on her little pedistal thing.

Hmm. I'm not totally sure then. I guess just try to make sure all the old glue and paint is cleared and try not to use TOO much super glue, using too much might make it take longer to hold.

What can I use to get rid of it without ruining the paint?

Viquoise In reply to FizzPuff [2010-04-21 07:18:56 +0000 UTC]
Well actually, I usually use a small knife when I need to remove bits of glue. If it's just the part of the shoe that's attached to the base, it's no problem if you remove some of that paint. Just carefully carve bits of the dry glue off.

Yeah,it's mainly on the pedistal and on her shoe.

Hm. Yeah I'd just try cutting the excess glue off and using a little bit to re-attach them. Make sure both surfaces are totally flat, of course.

Thanks!
I use Fimo or Premo clay. Both polymer clays. But if you're looking to practice I would suggest Sculpey, since its cheaper. This is made from Fimo and the amount it took to make this cost about 12 USD.

Not a problem ^^
Oh...so how would i get the Sculpey clay, would i have to buy it online or something to that effect

Hmm. Almost all art supply stores have it where I am. They might have different brands in the UK, but it's probably the same stuff. Just look for polymer clay.

Again, amazing work as usual!
Two questions that you've probably answered but I've just forgotten XD:
1) How do you make the Brawl Trophy stand look so shiny?
2) How did you make her so sturdy? It looks like she's about to fall over just because of her pose. XDDD

Thanks!
1) I have a gold spray paint.
2) Very powerful glue!

SO, what do you think is the most difficult part in making a sculpture O.O
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Viquoise In reply to SonicAdvance [2009-04-25 22:05:56 +0000 UTC]
Hmmm. The most difficult part for me would have to be making sure it turns out like I want. I usually get a great idea for a pose, then it just keeps getting dumbed down as the sculpture goes on.

[link] This is an old trailer for the movie, but it's good enough. ^^' The sculpture Archaedin did reminds me of the style used in it. ^^'
