After school, Sonya and Manik get back home with disappointment on their faces. Both of them were given detention (Sonya for being late again and Manik for sleeping in class again). At first, the two hoped that they wouldn't have to deal with their parents until later. Sadly for them, King Sonic and Queen Sally happened to be home early after some important stuff and were notified about what happened. Sonic and Sally decide to ask the two themselves. So pretty much, some scolding and grounding is soon to follow.

lol same happened to me and my sister i ditched the whole school and went to buy burgers when i bumped into my sister and she said ya still sleeping in class like an idiot and ditching school?
and i said yeah you still studying and being late to class from working like a nerd? and she said ya so we both went to buy burgers and then the "BAD LUCK" happened we ran into our parents in the school hall cause they were gonna pick us up early and i got well the worst of it.. my sister had her science projects takin away but nothin else and me i got my EVERYTHING takin away! >:I and i still am mad about that! so my sister ditched me and went to buy burgers and got drunk and danced in a club! and she didnt bring me any wine to get drunk with her or hamburger cause i was so starving for junk food!

No, Shadow did take over and stayed there for something like 20 years after Sonic went missing.
During a Coupe de' ehat Lara-Su defeated Shadow with her chaos powers after he almost K.O's Sonic

it is 25 years after.... sonic and sally got married(how sweet...)and they have two kids... and they are sonia and manik. and sonic become a king
