First off, may I say that this is absolutely amazing? I think this is one of your best works yet! Considering the realism of the face, the hair on the left side of his face it a bit too cartoony. Maybe try adding some more darker streaks? Apart from that one area, it's absolutely fantastic. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l… " width="26" height="17" alt="" title="Love"/>

For his face - The shading is incredible, I love that expression, and the eyes are just e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l… " width="26" height="17" alt="" title="Love"/>. The symbolism you included in them is really great too. The creases are good too. The only thing that really sticks out to me is that his little goatee seems a bit too stiff, kind of plastic-like. Adding a few stray hairs around it might help a bit.

The armor is good too, and I love those 'eyes' in it, but it just seems a bit... I'm not entirely certain of what's wrong with it, but it doesn't quite look metal. The only thing I can think of is to maybe look up pictures of armor and study the way the light and shadows fall on it. But it clearly shows how much effort you put into it, and that's wonderful!

The arms are good, but given the perspective, the hands should be bigger, and I'm not sure if they're supposed to be like that or not, but the thumbs look like they're made out of gold, which is understandable, given the firelight, maybe maybe adding a bit more lighting or shadows would help with that.

The sword, I would just add a bit more light to make it look a bit more like metal, but all-in-all, it's good!

The background truly is wonderful. All of that amazingly done fire, the black... trees? Smoke? What I especially like are all of the little sparks.
