I was thinking of doing something like this when I read an interview with Jenny Saville... I don't know if you've looked into her, but she talks about mapping the body and puts contour lines on figures mapping them... I was struggling with how to make the map fit to the shape of the body... but I can see that it works just putting the image in flat and your mind makes it fit the body when you look at it.

WOW. that's stunning, I love it. The sort of age-yellowed, sepia tones work wonderfully and how it goes lovely and dark at the bottom. very sort of deep and wise

This is an image one can read a hell of a lot into, and I adore the insight in it. How only the area near the crotch is mapped, it is usually those parts that are the most explored by both others and the media.
An absolute favourite.
