whoa, I had no idea this was a photo manipulation. Completely fooled me. Thought everything was a photoshoot.
I love the colors. The girl is very sexy, it looks mysteriously dangerous yet subtle.
I'm a little lost with the illustrative cartoon face, hair and cat sitting on top of the head. I wonder what the concept idea behind the design?

The concept is something like she is a sexy, confident and spiritually balanced girl, riding the waves full of monsters and struggles (as in 'life'),with calm and composure, with her companion.

Love the cat. It just adds another level, beyond the girl calmly wading through sea monster-infested waters - the cat looks away, projecting "Like hell I'm getting wet."
