I painted this a few days ago, but I haven't had the energy to upload anything due to the heat. I don't do well with heat and I very easily get headaches, migraines and heat strokes. I did @hypnoticamu 's Mer-May challenge and became a mermaid/siren drowning in oil. I was originally planning on making mermaid ears and do a prettier look, but those plans fell through and I ended up with this instead. I'm very happy with how this turned out! I think it took me about 6 hours to paint.

The idea is that this creature feeds off of the energy of the ocean as a whole and seeing that there is so much toxic waste in the ocean today; she's slowly drowning in oil from the inside out.

I used the PicsArt app on my phone to add the bubbles in the background and change my eye colour. The paint itself has not been altered.

Yes, this is all bodypaint! No, I'm not naked. I'm wearing full coverage pasties as well as many layers of liquid latex that is painted over.
