Good God, I could rant about this subject for hours.
And I did, but I was getting way too off-topic, so here's just a short little argument.
Many Fundamentalist christians believe that teaching awareness of different sexual preferences is all part of "The Gay Agenda".
All the gays want to do is turn your children gay.
God help us, if they get their way, it will be awful! Disco will be *shudder* POPULAR again! Every child will be forced to memorize "Groove is in the Heart"*shock*. Every movie ever made from that point on would be a (gulp) MUSICAL!!! Kids will actually have heard of Liberace!*faint*.
Thus, the stereotypically gay box illustration.
Pretty scary, huh? Except that NONE of this will every happen, because 90-99% of people are naturally straight.
I know several gay people. And I've seen enough naked women to know that I don't find them attractive. And I definitely couldn't imagine being married to one of them. It would be like being married to my mother, only with twice the nagging! So my fellow females, if you can form such loving bonds with another member of this incredibly high-strung gender, you deserve a medal for your effort, and may you live in marital bliss for the rest of your lives, and hopefully, forever afterwards.
As for me? I love me some Y chromosome. I hope to exercise the right that I am lucky enough to have to marry one of these fine specimens. And one day, several years into the future, I hope he puts a baby inside of me.
So no one ate the Fabulous Rainbow Cake. It just wasn't there to begin with.
