A color study on one of the concepts that didn`t make it through. I kind of like the idea behind so I decided to put some paint on it anyway.Wacom Bamboo + PS6

Nice composition and overall beatiful work. But I think you should take the next step: focus on your edges and atmosphere. It would help you to create more depth in your environments. For example: a) put an extralayer on top of the painting, pick colors from the sky and paint over the cave. b) Reduce layer fill (or opacity or both) to 10 %. Another method: pick the smudge tool and manipulate the edges a bit. Besides of that: good work dude! Let us both keep pushing.

Thanks. Funny thing about the atmosphere... I was going in completely the other direction when I started putting colors in... a colder greenish-blueish with mist sort of vibe.Β
