Weeeelllllll.... Actually it is Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's fault.. Since he wrote the original stories, but Moffat and Gattis also deserve some of the fault.. as they didn't have to make it so sad and moving..

And as a starting Sherlock fan(when I was first introduced last year) seeing Sherlock jump(That was literally the first episode I saw, and it got me hooked) was crushing because in that ninety minutes of watching it I grew rather attached to the characters..
