I couldn't resist the contest concept over at ~JanosAudronClub , even though I didn't really have enough time to do a proper background or anything.......so I did this. Janos Audron, the Ancient vampire....just about pre-teen age I should think. I had a lot of fun colouring the wings.
Janos Audron was created for the Legacy of Kain series of games.

I really like this. For some reason, rather than vampire, it makes me think of a South American gargoyle, maybe Aztec. Love the clothing and adornments.

I have a lil'Janos ... he's a sweet precocious little guy. And I have a teenage Janos ... kind of annoying, that one. Think it's because of this fanart I saw somewhere around here. Unkempt teenage Janos rolling his eyes.

I *should* draw some of the Ancient OCs I have in mind. One may or may not be Janos's older brother, and his two friends. One bookish sort of badass, and one manwhorish sort of badass. XD

Very nice. I love his outfit. And his expression is excellent... He has that "innocence of youth" look, where he has yet to see the evils of the world. Quite the opposite of how we know him in the LoK games. I wish you luck with the contest!

The clothing is so smooth and detailed. His face has a sort of innocence and curiosity to it that I greatly enjoy. What exact medium did you use and on what paper? I'm thinking of giving pencil drawings a shot again.

It's Faber-Castell artist's pencils on a textured cream cardstock. I love my coloured pencils - they are my best medium, I think. I highly recommend you give them a try and look forward to seeing the results in my devWatch.
