Nice angle with many differently oriented lines that give movement to the pic. But I would have made it a bit darker to give some "mystery"...

OK then. You go in image-adjustments-shadow/highlight. There you can easily control the density of the shadows and of the highlight. I use this a lot to bring details in the shadows etc......
