New life from old. Wonderful concept. I find it strange
that people only find beauty in youth, freshness, things
still whole. There is beauty in decay, in aging, things not
quite as they used to be.

And Confucius spoke that everything has beauty, but not everyone can see it.
Of course, these old, ruined, dilapidated, etc. things, and why not living things, have their beauty and soul beneath the patina, and tell the story of creation, transience and disappearance everything except the spirit.
