Can I ask how you do you line work in this style? I've been wanting to tackle a sort of crayon-like finish, but my attempts with brushes haven't come out right.
Do you use some kind of filter on your lines when they're finished, or is it a vector/line tool thing?

Oh, I just straight up line freehand with a crayon-like brush in SAI using the 'fuzzytastic' texture. It's actually the same one I use to color with as well. Pretty sure you can get the same effect in Photoshop if you find a texture that looks like static and set whichever brush/pen/whatever you use to it and mess with some settings.

haha I was talking to a couple of artist friends about it, and used your squirtle pic as an example of what I'm trying to achieve, but everyone's guess was completely different and more complicated.
