Ah man... such ACE colours!
You really have a variety of colours on the vivid-ness spectrum here (yes, I just made that up). Yellow, red and white, especially with a white backround, so that they eye concentrates on the colours of the backround makes for a very striking, successful shot!

I had quite a hard time with this one, as I couldn't get a very clear focus.
I used a macro filter, which makes it rather difficult for my camera to focus, plus it reduces the DOF rather drastically. Bu I guess it turned out okay in the end... as long as you don't zoom in too much

Yeah, I noticed the shallow DOF of your shots. But of course I attribute it to your cam, rather than your skill.
It sounds as though you make the best use of your available equipment and that's the main thing.
