I am currently in "WTF IZ THIZ SHIT" and "I HAZ NO IDEA WHUT TO DO" and "FAWK ART, IT IZ BULL$H!t" and "FFFUUUUU" and "I IZ NOT AMUZED" land. Yep.

When you're subscribed to groups, you kinda get used to browsing through alot of shit; but this really caught my eye. Background, lineart and coloring is just suberb. Especially the coloring actually... it just feels very soft imo. The only thing that I could point out as strange is her facial expression, which makes no sense to me, buuuut that's just me.

I am having trouble with one thing. The character's expression and the butterfly are both good, but the work does seem somewhat distracting to the eye. It's hard to focus on either the facial expression or the butterfly, probably due to the close proximity. As for the colors and the contrast of the butterfly to the rest of the illustration, it is something that is overall good.

Well, usually I'll try to focus on one thing in an image
making it really pop out. But this one was just a sketch
that I decided to color, just so that I 'm not so dead on DA
lol contrast is partially due to converting from srbg to
Adobe rgb and using PS's auto tone/contrast/color filters.

I dunno... I actually dislike it a lot.
I'm constantly somewhere between realism and anime and they start to kick in, messing each other up. And OTL the background
