This is a view of Smith Mountain Lake from our dock. The dock to the left of the picture is pretty much the same as the one I was one. I was on the balcony at the top. My brother jumped off of it into the water.Related content

God, that is beautiful. It's like the setting of the final scene of a film where the main character is looking out and contemplating things that have happened in the last two acts.

Exactly, and I'm glad you think it is beautiful! It had taken me awhile to get used to the balcony dock thingy at the top, because it kinda shifted/moved every now and then. Scared me. But this was right before a sunset, so it was a perfect time. Even better, there were ripples in the water, making that lovely effect!
There is actually a myth about a 50 foot long catfish that lives in the water right near where I was at, the catfish had swam into the lake when they released the dam water (this lake is man-made I think) the catfish had eaten a car before. OOOH that reminds me, when were fishing right where that catfish supposedly lived, our anchor had been snapped from the rope. So basically, the rope tied to the anchor was cut in half. But nothing could have cut it so clean, unless a human was below, which was only a 1% chance, considering it was night time, and they probably would've died from the boat propeller. So, we decided that it was the catfish. Of course, I don't really believe that, but it's kinda cool, actually. Oh, and we never found the anchor again.

We wondered for 3 days about it. The rope was seriously cut in half clean. It was a clean cut. It was quite creepy, I should write some shiz about that.
