If you could play as a girl I would be all over this game.

Male/Female choice wouldn't really be appropriate for the story we're telling as Malcolm has a backstory set in the real work that fits with the time period. He's a war veteran from the first world war, so having a female choice would mean we'd have to basically make a second game with a completely different main character.
That said, there are paths that involve Malcolm being turned into a girl
