Β Technically, a werecat is not a lycanthrope. The word comes from the Greek words for wolf ("lukos") and human ("anthropos"), so it only applies to werewolves. Instead, you should either refer to her as a therianthrope ("beast man") or gatanthrope ("cat man").
To be REALLY pedantic, you should call her a wifcat, since were comes from an old english word "wir" referrring to male adults of the human race while "wif" refered to women, but no one really seems to care about that little detail.

Based on the official manuals of Dungeons and Dragons, this breed is called Werecat and she comes from the world created by Dungeons and Dragons.
Just like in the mythology minotaur is not a race, there is only one and only one pegasus, they have become a race and not a creature unique.
Not that anyone interested is that, depending on the local context in which they move and the knowledge you have, the things are in one way or another.
If you do not like this, claim it in companies that use those terms. Thank you and have a nice day
