This is Mekanikles, greatest of the great, Greek geniuses! He's also voiced by Charlie Alder. The only villain I liked in the Aladdin: The TV show series because he's the only guy that doesn't always rely on magic to cause trouble!
Magic is so overrated in this series anyway... I wish Disney would bring out this series on DVD already!*Mekanikles belongs to Disney*

Awesome I remember him didn know he was viiced Charlie Alder (I know best as busster bunny) also you right I would also like the little mermaid series and disney hercules on dvd as well

During the late 80s and early 90s Disney did an AMAZING job adapting its movies to animated series. "Aladdin" was quite exceptional as there was just so much adventure to be had out in the desert and beyond.
Mekanikles was a clever villain. An obsessed neat-freak who had plans like turning all the sand to smooth glass while also building a hypnotizing robot named Gregarious to manipulate the Sultan, Jasmine, and crew into relinquishing control of Agraba to him.
I'm glad you help bring back these classic characters. It reminds me of howsome of my own writing ideas were based on such characters and their plots. Per chance do you remember Mosenwrath and his eel companion? I think it was named Xexyz. Mosewrath was a wonderful villain with a back story for how he got his power being one that shows how dedicated he was to become Lord of the Black Sands.

Yes, I remember that guy Mozenwrath and Xerzys. I used to like Mozenwrath, but I liked Mekanikles much better!
I did missed those days that Disney had the Toon Disney channel.

Toon Disney was great when it was initially started. All the classics on one channel with a few new shows tossed in. I even enjoyed when they threw in the "JETIX" block with 90s Marvel cartoons, Yin-Yang-Yo, and a show that would inspire a book I wrote, "Captain Flamingo".
