But Malaysia, Sabah is still owned by Sultan of Sulu when Sulu inherit Brunei's Sabah. Sulu only lease Sabah to England and then England lend it to Malaysia. By the way, they're still paying the lease money for Sabah to the Sultanate Sulu family till this day.

Philippines claims that North Borneo (sabah) is their territory because Sultan Brunei was ceded North Borneo to Sultan Sulu In 1658 .
And Indonesia ......yup, like you say, they thinks this is a new kind of neocolonialism else they also wants Malaya(West Malaysia )became a part of Indonesia.
After this, Indonesia and Malaysia was start an undeclared war between Indonesia and United Kingdom-backed Malaysia over the future of the island of Borneo from 1962 to 1966 until the incident G30S/PKI happens in Indonesia.
If the incident G30s/PKI didn't happen, the war between Indonesia and Malaysia maybe will continue until one of them lose or surrender......

Thanks for the info! I didn't know that G30S/PKI also had a positive effect to both Indonesia and Malaysia.
