Send it into GameInformer's Monthly Art Contest! They accepted a picture of some weird Okami egg last year.

Then there's always the option of drilling a hole in the top, a hole in the bottom and blowing all the guts out, that way you can keep the egg forever

yeah, I've seen candy that's a hollowed out egg filled with chocolate. It would be a good idea to fill the egg with something like rubber or something that can be injected or will harden inside to make the egg more durable.

I got one of those chocolate egg things on Easter of this year. My mom brought it back from her trip to... well I forget where she went, but I know it was in Europe. It's still sitting on top of the bookshelf in my room waiting to be cracked open. Wonder how it's gonna' taste.

My mother has several hallowed out eggs, and they're not filled with anything, they're not broken, but I guess it would be an interesting idea to fill it with something that would add weight and durability to the egg

We've hollowed them out using a sewing needle before, it takes a while, but it works sooo well.
I have one egg ornament my mum made when she was younger than I am stillsitting on my shelf in perfect condition.

Yes, I've done it before, you just need to be careful not to break the egg, and you need to dril it by hand, not with any tools other than the drill bit

yeah, they're fragile, but unless you plan on playing extremem sports with the egg or something it would be find jsut siting on a shelf or handing on something
