Some may have noticed that I haven't updated in a little while, the reason is I've been working on THIS, a Metal Sonic Costume for Comic Con. It was kind of a rush job and I wish I had time to fix it up more but it went off VERY well. Not only did my fellow con goers love it but so did the guys at the Sega booth and the archie comics booth. well look at the costume, Metal Sonic has grey legs and arms. If you're making a Sonic costume you'd have blue pants, I'm a little too self conscious to wear tights so sweat pants are a decent compromise.

it's just a circle of craft foam held onto the shirt with staples, half of them popped out over the course of the day but it stood on.

If you're having a hard time, try copying the pattern of a Sonic plush figure or the hat [link] everything else is just modified clothes really, in my case it's a blue T-shirt with the sleeves cut off and some grey sweats.

what part? the helmet part was the most intricate piece, I made it by first making a pattern on paper by folding it around my 10 inch Metal Sonic's head, then scaling it up to my head's size.

That is cool...I believe this is the first time that I have ever seen someone wear a Metal Sonic costume. 
By the way, as far as making that, did you just mix and match clothes and use some craft foam? Either way though, it looks great. I happen to be a Sonic Fan (mainly old school) too, and if you like, you can come and see the Lego Metal Sonic Mosaic that I just did today. (you can just type, RaubWarrior, in the search box, and you should see it pretty quick.)

well it is basically clothes and craft foam, but I got the clothes just to make the costume, especially the boots.
