On this day, September 7th 1822, Brazil becamed free from the abusive power of Portugal, D.Pedro who was the regent king of Brazil, receved a message from his wife, D.Leopoldina saying that Portugal would force Brazil to return to the condition of colony, D.Pedro had to choose...and he choosed the path of independence, with the support of the brazilian people on his side, alongside with his wife and the Minister José Bonifácio, Brazil would not only become a free nation but also would become the most powerfull Empire in the south American region until 1889...Brazil recently had a tragedy, the destruction of the Imperial Palace meant that Brazil's history burned to the ground, recently the Republic as showed no sign of getting better, corruption, dictatorhips and other reasons why the republican system does not work on Brazil and Portugal, now it is the time for Brazil to get free and restore itself, to restore it's glory days. I want to dedicate this drawing to Brazil's Empire, to its' two Emperor's and to those who are figthing for a better Brazil...
