I actually looked into the similarities between mawile and helioptile due to this picture, and I was extremely suprised to find out that it is entirely possible, and a solid theory that mawile is a mutation of a helioptile, kind of like how diancie is a mutation of a carbink. I might write something explaining it, but I don't have the time right now, but I have some really solid evidence

why is Helioptile in there? it isn't part of mawile's evolutionay chain, Mawile doesn't even have one, Mega Mawile is just an evolution from a meag stone n a mega ring and only appears every battle, and doesn't stay mega
