I don't want the Paul project to just zip past you people like the John one.So I scanned this bit, cropping out some peices I'm still working on.
This project is not meant to be scanned, because the paper is rather big.
I just wanted you all to see the project.
Um, I did Paul on a seperate peice of paper than the background, first in Sharpie, then charcoal, then paint.
This project is very far from done, because I'm using more paint in this than with the John project.
This Paul is, according to me, White Album era Paul (no, not White Album inside).
He has been compared to Simon Cowell and Micheal Jackson already.
I don't really care
But, don't go there, man.
It looks like Paul. Almost everyone besides those two people, thought it does.
I think it looks like Paul (a little bit tired and puffy eyed, and somewhat pissed, overall gothy Paul. But still Paul).

You know who he looks like...Paul. And Jim Sturgess. Sorry, I couldn't let this go, they look so alike. He looks nothing like MJ or Simon Scowl, whoever said that is crazy.

aw it's Paulie. Fantastic and gorgeous. This screams "White Album", especially the expression on his face. I can imagine he was pretty darn tired and weary when that album was made. Lovely work!

PS- I hate to comment twice on people's things as I dont want them to find me annoying, but what is this John project you talk of? For some reason I must have missed it. I don't recall ever seeing one... ? Or maybe it wasnt something you posted and I'm just confused?

no, I meant to post it, but never got to cos once I was DONE the art teacher whisked it away and put it in a gallery.
I opened John's head and had rainbows and flowers and shooting stars coming out of it.
.....he had laser vision too.

The contrast of the colors is loverly, and I love how you've 'posterized' it by making it only the two main colors on his face.

- How... the... hell? You've listed the media, yes, but frigginell
- Perfect likeness, in my tutored opinion
- Lines are not too sharp - softened is best, makes greyscale imagery work that much better
- Eyes are impossible to capture, you have given me hope
- That fringe is brilliant
- Light/shadow observation is top-notch
- Zigs and zags of contrasting bright colour add depth and prevent the piece from becoming too 'moody'

Michael Jackson!?!? It looks so much like Paul McCartney! That person obviously doesn't know who Paul McCartney is! But I never thought Paul was good looking at all, but this picture has changed my mind right now. lol. I love it!
