Fighter: "Why do you wear that armor? It hardly covers you, and can barely protect you?"
Red Sonja: "I wear it, because most of the time, I must fight a man, and men are simple creatures, easily distracted."
I always think of that story whenever I see fantasy women's armor...

I guess she would have to cross that bridge when it happens?
It seems, she did fight other women a lot... I suppose it's like a Superman story... somehow, he's always up against someone with Kriptonite.

I surround myself with warriors, and warrior women.
Part of my heritage is Seneca. My tribe is matriarchal... our women protect the village... and make the decisions. We are part of the Iroquois. That is my father's side, and my grandmother, even with one leg, and at 104 years old, could still hold her own against any invader. I try to portray that spirit in my art.

Do what you love.
Art isn't any formula. Art is free expression. Tell your story, and make your point, and everything else will fall into place.
Also... what is it with Croatian women that they are always so beautiful? I have zero complaints!

If I have to say something negative it would be nice if your models hold their weapons in a practical way, as if the carried them or where prepared to use them.

The problem with practicality in photography, is the blade then becomes too lined up with the lens, and you wind up not seeing it, or only seeing a thin line. When photographing swords, and sword play, you have to have the blades lines with the flats exposed so the viewer knows what they are looking at.

I like it to look like she actually knows how to use it and has a purpose with it. You are not supposed to hold blades with your bare hands since you cause corrosion,

Unfortunately, in photography, you can't hold a blade 100% properly. If you did, the camera wouldn't pick it up, so the blade has to be held so it always shows the flat of the blade.
As for this pose... this pose is an imitation of a few rather ancient statues of Athena, and Artemis.

Really great work! I like how the armor is minimal, but yes still has pop and sticks out. The model is beautiful, she''s not stick skinny, but has curves like a woman should. Sorry this came out more like a critiuqe then a comment.
