Description
This is a painting I did to celebrate summer. I thought it would be fun to illustrate a kid and his pet dragon purchasing an ice cream on the board walk at the end of a hot summer’s day. I really wanted to show that the pet dragon is like a dog, excited and almost begging for a treat with his drooling tongue hanging out, yet being smart enough to know that he has to pay by handing over the money for the ice cream with his tail.

I’m happy to say that this piece will be featured on the front cover of this month’s issue of Rochester’s Printed Deals catalog. I’ll post an image of it when it hits the cover in a couple of weeks from now.
