Description
"One of the first things many combat water sorcerers discover, or are taught, is that with enough force, water will cut through things. Mustering the force needed to slice through living flesh and bone is usually the most that they need to master.

They manipulate their element as 'blades' and 'whips'.

The mundane, yet sharp and deadly 'water whip' seems to be a very common technique used in varying forms by every race on Alestennor. It can use as little as a mere handful of water, to something much larger and heavier to control.
The speed of this whip moves faster than the eye can easily see, and it's rare to successfully dodge. What's usually seen is the aftermath - chunks of flesh or even entire bodily parts missing.
The best counter for the attack is simply watching the mana-blessed and predicting the move before it happens. Most sorcerers lack the concentration and skill to manipulate their element with mental power alone, and need to psych themselves up for the attack, along with the motion of a physical 'strike' - mostly similar to a punching, jabbing or swiping motion.

Inexperienced or unskilled water sorcerers can find themselves lacking the strength and force needed behind doing real damage with their 'whip', resulting in something more akin to a 'slap' with the water. In a worse scenario, they seriously injure and dismember themselves with water which they can move fast, but not competently control."

- Archais, 'Aggressive Water Studies'

Turin kindly demonstrating the very mundane "water whip", which he typically uses to decapitate a distracted opponent. He's extremely guilty of being "too physical" which makes him predictable.

I love the flow of this! Not just the water, but the pose/gesture. It's very fluid and pretty relaxed, especially for a guy so heavily-muscled Excellent perspective with the right hand (his right), and I'm really loving the how naturally the water flows there - the shading on it really helps. Ilove how even his hair is flowing in the movement! Excellent job, Christy! This is awesome!

Thanks I a bit meh about that, I wanted it to look as though his muscles are "doing" something, without being rigid or looking under too much strain. The reason he ended up topless is because clothes ruin my poses. They're good for swooshy situations but usually I feel like they just ruin the power/flow of movement. Even the trousers ruined his legs, lol.

No problemo!

The other reason he's topless is because it's sexy.

Lol, but yes - I get what you mean. :3

Archais is my nerdy scientist of the world who's busy studying everything and writing it all down, so most of my notes on my "lore" are in his voice as his books. Suddenly makes it so much more fun to do, lmao
