Lazy? The fact that you have backgrounds at all is a cry against laziness. In any case, keeping them vague just makes the characters and foreground pop more.
Was that Lampent your tower catch, then? I always wanted to train a Chandelure in one of my runs, but I never got around to it... I'd say I was looking forwards to seeing what happens with him, but with how adorably sulky Naub's looking it might be safer just to keep quiet on that front. XD

This is a good page. As always you do a good job setting the atmosphere with your colour choices.

I caught up with this amazing nuzlocke a few days ago and have been trying to think of a way to describe how excellent it is.
I still haven't thought of anything except to say thank you. Thank you for creating a Black and White poke-verse that is very similar to what I hoped the game would be (a bit less dark, perhaps) if it was intended for a more adult audience. Thank you for making so many moral shades that I don't know what to think anymore.
And thank you for making such a compelling story.

Whelp, seeing as I completely deny the existence of Reshiram/Zekrom/Kyurem⦠and, more importantly, most pokedex entries are completely OVER THE TOP, like Larvitar eating mountains, Machamp MOVING mountains, Gyarados destroying cities and vertain pokemon eating through steel and everything⦠I don't think it's surprising I choose to ignore most of the pokedex entries entirely.

Now believe me when I say, your backgrounds aren't lazy. Simplistic backgrounds are ideal for something like a comic, so they don't derive focus from the actual subjects of the story. Plus, the location is still recognizable.

Yet another amazing page! I get the feeling though Naub isn't just jealous of the lampent...
For some time I've been thinking about how when you finish this you could get it printed somehow into a book- because I would absol-lutly buy it! You should put up a poll and see what everyone else thinks, because the amount of depth and philosophy in this story is too great to not to have on my shelf!
