I haven't seen the original version of this but this looks very natural and relatively unedited.
An interesting piece of rustic architecture.

I don't know... looked like un-milled 2x4 to me... is that a Lincoln log?

The straight horizon line that emphasizes the crooked building makes a dramatic composition.

thanks.
The shot has been a challenge for 4 years. The clarity and sharpness are better this time around.

It is a pretty old elevator. I am guessing close to 100 years old.

I think pretty much everything back then was "home made". But the design is not unusual for that period.

I am just guessing myself, but I would say somewhere around 1900-1920

Well I bet that at first glance that most people would call it a corn crib.

I re-took this picture and i think I will re-post it.
Personally, I think there is a yellow cast. Once again, processed on my old PC. Mac has better colour controls.

thanks Joyce,
I did not go inside myself. Most of what i shoot is on private property, so i try to be respectful. I am also vrey careful as some of the structures are in very poor shape. I shoot alone...(with my dog actually) but if I was to be hurt or injured, it would be a long time before i would be found, so I am very careful.

Great picture!
The grass looks so clean and new
It gives a feeling of
the new mixed with the old
It's like people say, the new things always have something old in them
We learn from the past
The barn is the past and the new grass grows up around it as it reaches for the heights of the old
Although the grass may be high, the old always shows through and shows what we should aspire to reach up to.
Very poetic picture,
Thanks for posting!
