My friend recently reached a milestone of 800 watchers. And requested some of his previous inspiring artists to contribute any image for a short one shot. I was in the mood to draw mice. So here it is.

The inking on this sucker was 3 weeks of on and off dabbling. But I'm satisfied with the results.

The companion text: Mouse Tale 1: Warmth for the Road“Now make sure you stay warm.” Missus Thebus said as she wrapped a scarf around Mister Thebus' neck and shoulders.
“I'll be fine dear.” he assured her as she fussed over him.
Besides their log home their lizard watched them curiously, scratching at its head with its foreleg.
“I still don't know why they'd be mustering the militia.” Missus Thebus said fretfully. “It isn't like Phibian has been doing anything of late.”
“I'm sure it's nothing.” Mister Thebus replied jovially as their daughter, Little Tabitha, rushed out of their home with a parcel.
“Don't forget your lunch Papa!” she called as she held up the wrapped parcel.
“Of course not Tabitha.” Mister Thebus said as he leaned down and kissed his daughter on the cheek. “I could never forget it with you to remind me.”
Little Tabitha smiled up at Mister Thebus happily as he kissed Missus Thebus once more before he gathered up his things.
