I know what you mean. I just tried on Ps to adjust the levels on the snow for a brighter look. Looks nice.

You can really feel the cold and the loneliness in this image and the depth again is something very,very special,just take a look at the box next to the gate and the more you look,the more lil things you see...outstanding image Jari

Thank you kindly Sir. To preserve the details on dA viewing version I must use large resolution such as 1500 px wide. I tried to resize this down to 1024 wide and a lot of details turned out bad / unclear. The 14-24 Nikkor is sharp already as it is and that combined into hdr makes the image hyperrealistic in some degree. I shoot the individual exposures -2...+2 EV in RAW and first open the raw images in adobe camera raw using slight sharping and clarity enhancing already there and then save the images in 16 bit tiff. Only after that I tonemap the images.
