Description ((Here it is, my next bit of animation.  This time, I pulled from the Let it Go sequence, particularly the bit of action as she says "anymore" to the cold not bothering her.  Is it just alright?  Is it better than my previous attempt?  I don't have any idea.  Syncing her mouth to actual words was incredibly difficult, surprisingly, so...I dunno.  You tell me.  What do you think?

Oh, and whoever can guess the allusion I've got up in the title to this thing gets a free...I dunno.  Llama?  Anyone wanna Llama?    Why does deviantART even have those things?))

[Seriously? I love it! The Incredibles was one of my FAVOURITE movies as a kid. On costume day in my infant school (I was, what... 5? Not sure which stage school I'd be in where you are, so the age is probably better to give you ) every single girl in the class dressed as a princess except for me. I remember sitting in a circle and we were all asked which character we were and I jumped up and exclaimed "I'M VIOLET!" ]

((Oh yeah?  I was about...9 or 10 when it came out.  Awesome movie.  I do remember seeing a lot of the other kids wearing the costumes.  Actually, I got all Incredified myself the following Halloween, so I guess we've got something in common!))

((Huh...you know what?  I noticed that too as I was finishing this.  It covers about 3 seconds, but I've only got 30 frames here.  Granted 30 frames is quite a bit, and it does flow rather nicely regardless, but...I dunno.  I'm wondering if computer animation works their frames out a little different than the hand drawn stuff.))

((Well I realize that computer animation functions differently, but the frame rate shouldn't change, should it?  I mean, it's roughly 24 to 30 frames per second, and up until recently, practically every film followed those guidelines.  Not just in animation.  So computer animation having a completely separate system doesn't seem to make much sense to me....  But what do I know?))

WDisneyRP-Oswald In reply to WDisneyRP-Elsa [2014-03-02 08:51:07 +0000 UTC]

((24/30 frames is the industry standard and it's no different in computer animation. If you referenced this from an online video or a gif, I suspect that's why you got a lower frame rate, because those are likely a lower quality and smaller file size than the actual DVD of the film.))

((Ah yes, no more cape! Except that Elsa then goes and makes herself an ice-cape, which is even less practical, if you think about it...

This is much better than your last one (Elsa running out the door, I think it was?). For one, it's cleaner, and it's a lot more smooth. And you've done a great job of syncing her lips to the "anyway". I like it. ))

Thanks, I'm glad you think so!  Trying to get it smooth and clean was what I was going for, so I really am glad that you think so!  I guess the next thing I'll be improving on is the mouth.))

((Well... the design, yes, very amazing! But I hate the cold, so wearing anything made of ice--brrrr!!

I thought Esme had guessed your deviation title reference, but since that wasn't it... would it have anything to do with the title of a particular book?))

WDisneyRP-Elsa In reply to WDisneyRP-JanePorter [2014-02-26 06:59:30 +0000 UTC]

((Oh, I actually love the cold!  Well, not the wind, the wind is horrible, but the cold itself is incredibly refreshing, especially when it brings snow.  Unfortunately, I'm stuck right on the edge of always missing it.  Honestly, half of the US has spent the past couple of months buried in snow, and I have missed it every time by about a fifteen minute drive....It got really annoying.  But, I guess it's in the past snow.  Spring is about here.

Yup, it has everything to do with the title of piece of literature.))

((Well, you can have the snow!  I always wanted to see snow and when I finally did, it was all horrible and wet and cold. I guess I expected cotton-ball snow or something.

Hmm, by Hemingway?))

WDisneyRP-Elsa In reply to WDisneyRP-JanePorter [2014-02-27 15:40:42 +0000 UTC]

((Ah yes, you were expecting the classic idealized version of the stuff?  Yeah, it seldom actually comes down that way.  Sometimes it's just ice, sometimes it's too powdery to actually do anything with, i.e. make snowmen...it rarely has that perfect consistency.

Oh man, you are right on the money with Hemingway.  Bet you know what it is?))
