Description Cannot take much of a tree to FL for the holiday, so I created one. The back is three popsicle sticks glued (one straight and two angled out), painted green, then the pompom balls glued to the base and each other. Then glued sequins and little sticks with balls on the end about the tree. The yellow pompom is supposed to be the star. There are two brown ones glued to the bottom to be the "tree trunk". The back has two window suction cups to hold to a window or mirror.

I've made crafts most of my life. Between girl scouts and my mom, we were always making something useful out of things way back in the fifties and sixties. My mom lived through the depression, as probably your mother, did too, so she saved everything and we made things out of what other people threw away!

My mom was an orphan, so yes, she did live through the depression, but things weren't taught to her. I have 2 sisters who love and are good at all that. I tried it and it was a disaster.Β

Your mom and you...it's really wonderful. ❀️

Thank you! I keep my crafts handy in case I want to make something. I made some Virgin Mary ornaments for my therapists's office and loads of stuff fro Halloween but didn't take pictures last October!

I love anything hand made. I use to do a lot of crochet work things like hats, scarves, sweaters, huge afghans but a shoulder injury prevented me from continuing. I might try again a small project to see how it turns out. You have inspired me now.

Starting small is the way to go. I cannot crochet or knit to save my life. I have a directional disability, something like being discalucate, and I reverse things, letters, numbers, items, gaming challenges.... it is frustrating. At any rate, I just couldn't get the hang of the knitting due to reversing stitches all the time. Painting, drawing and crafting is far easier. For nearly all my crafts I make up the patterns just so I can follow them!

We all have our own ways to create things and I am pleased you are able to find what works for you. For me it is that I cannot do certain movements where I am holding my hands away from my chest and pulling away something this is required for knitting or crochet work. But it has been a while since I tried so maybe after the holidays I might try again who knows. It could be o.k. now.Β

From the thumbnail I thought there were eyeballs in there Of course I am listening to the Haunted Mansion Holiday xmas soundtrack right now.

I actually thought about putting eyeballs on the tree and make it look anthro (mainly because I have hundreds of eyeballs in different sizes from past projects.... and I mean PAST, like three decades ago!), but I just created it as a tree
