This is the moon as my lens saw it on the 9th of May 2006.The Southern Hemispher view (if there is a difference. i don't know)
Cropped frame from original image. (Obviously I was only using a 300mm lens
)Look you can see craters

Excellent shot. Did you enlarge it when you cropped it, and if so how much?

I cropped it from the original 8mp photo down to ~1200 pixels wide. I then resized to 900 pixels wide (inside the white border) so thus I've reduced it ever so slightly from the original pixel size.
